DataFlux powers telecommunications leader’s customer data quality initiative to vastly improve direct-marketing response rates

CARY, N.C. (Dec. 5, 2006) – DataFlux, a leading provider of data quality and data integration solutions, today announced that a longtime customer, Bell Mobility (www.bell.ca) was named to the prestigious InfoWorld 100. Bell Mobility’s customer data quality initiative earned the venerable magazine’s award for demonstrating a creative use of cutting-edge technologies to enhance business goals.

Bell Mobility’s submission – “Solution for Direct Marketing Response Rates,” a customer data quality and data integration project – detailed the use of DataFlux software to increase direct-marketing response rates for cross-sell and upsell opportunities by improving the quality of its customer data. Through this initiative, Bell Mobility hoped to tap into customers throughout Bell Canada’s broad customer base to expand its wireless subscriber network.

Bell Mobility used DataFlux dfPower Studio to allow business analysts and database administrators the ability to create, manage and enforce data quality initiatives across the enterprise. The technology helped the organization build a unified and reliable view of its customer base. Also, Bell Mobility created custom data verification routines that helped them to identify and eliminate tens of thousands of duplicate prospect records while improving the quality of mailing and telemarketing lists.

“Bell Mobility recognized that data quality is the key to unlocking the value of existing customer relationships, and by initiating business-critical data quality and data integration initiatives, they were able to forge a deeper understanding of customer behavior,” said Tony Fisher, president and general manager of DataFlux.  “We congratulate Bell Mobility on this award from InfoWorld and are pleased that DataFlux could be a part of it.”
