Taking place October 3-5, 2011 at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Florida, DataFlux IDEAS 2011 will bring together a wide range of data management professionals, including data practitioners, business users, CIOs, IT managers, industry visionaries and DataFlux experts. The three-day event will feature hands-on training sessions, presentations, breakout meetings and networking.
DataFlux IDEAS 2011 will address challenges and opportunities in the areas of data quality, data integration, master data management (MDM), data governance and how organizations can use their data to improve business operations. The event will also feature the inaugural Executive Business Forum, taking place on October 3.
Hands-on Training Monday, October 3 will feature a full-day of pre-conference training for both DataFlux users and data management professionals. With seven courses spread out over three training tracks, business and IT users, as well as “hybrids” – those that straddle the business and IT sides of the organization – will find sessions full of best practices and detailed instruction to help them better handle today’s data challenges.
Sessions and Presentations Carolina Valencia, director of research for Social Compact – a non-profit organization that supports investment in inner-city neighborhoods – will deliver this year’s keynote address. Valencia will demonstrate how Social Compact, a longtime DataFlux customer, uses DataFlux technology and data management techniques to uncover overlooked economic indicators in urban communities.
Tony Fisher, president and CEO of DataFlux, will present his annual state of the market on the opening day of the main conference. DataFlux co-founder and CTO Scott Gidley will discuss the future of DataFlux technology. Gidley’s presentation will be followed by a lively debate and insight from thought leaders from the Data Roundtable, the DataFlux-sponsored thought leadership website.
DataFlux IDEAS 2011 will also include customer presentations, as well as sessions on key data management challenges facing enterprises today. Individual breakout sessions for collaborative brainstorming will focus on master data management, creative technology problem-solving and data governance best practices, among other topics.
Solutions Center One of the most popular highlights of DataFlux IDEAS is the Solutions Center. Conference attendees can select 30-, 45- or 60-minute one-on-one consulting sessions with a DataFlux expert to discuss data quality, data integration, MDM or any other data challenges within their organization.
Executive Business Forum DataFlux customers and data management industry experts such as DataFlux vice president and Baseline Consulting co-founder Jill Dyché will gather for the first DataFlux IDEAS 2011 Executive Business Forum. This event is aimed at senior-level management responsible for driving and influencing an organization’s data management strategy. With an agenda filled with networking opportunities and sessions focusing on the importance of executive involvement in data-related projects, the forum will provide an environment for attendees to interact with their peers and gain real-world knowledge on what it takes to fully utilize corporate data to drive their businesses forward.
