DataFlux Partners with Dátaccent to Deliver Data Management Solutions in the Netherlands

Release date: 10/10/2011

Dutch IT service provider collaborates with DataFlux on a broad spectrum of data management projects.

Heidelberg (October 10, 2011) — DataFlux, a leading provider of data management solutions, today announced a new partnership with Dátaccent, a Dutch IT service provider. DataFlux is a wholly owned subsidiary of SAS and will collaborate with Dátaccent on a broad spectrum of data management projects in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

The partnership will allow Dátaccent to react to a shift in focus seen in its customer base. Increasingly, Dátaccent’s customers are moving from installations and maintenance of database systems towards the management of the underlying data feeding those systems. Dátaccent’s experts help customers choose the appropriate data warehousing and business intelligence solutions, as well as provide data integration and data management implementation services.

"Our customers are increasingly asking us how we can help them to improve the quality and governance of their business data – particularly our financial services and insurance customers in light of Basel II regulations and the coming Solvency II Directive," says Jos Struik, managing director at Dátaccent. "We were looking for a market-leading vendor with a track record of success in these industries. We were impressed by the completeness of the DataFlux Data Management Platform and its flexibility during the deployment phase."

Dátaccent plans to utilize DataFlux technology for customer data management projects as banks and insurers bolster their data governance capabilities. A key driver of this partnership is the complementary nature of Dátaccent’s data services experience and the ability of the DataFlux platform to design and monitor data governance business rules that enable compliance.

"DataFlux has worked extensively with European banks and insurers to help them comply with the current regulatory requirements,” said Helmut Plinke, principal data management consultant at DataFlux. “A large number of major European insurers are using DataFlux technology to govern data for Solvency II compliance. Data quality is critical for Solvency II compliance as insurance risk models must be working with accurate, complete and appropriate data if they are to yield reliable results that enable the right risk decisions. Dátaccent is a partner with consulting and implementation services that are closely aligned with our objectives."
