Technology provider selects DataFlux as exclusive data management partner in Australia
BRISBANE, Australia (November 24, 2010) — Australian technology services firm Integral Technology Solutions today announced that it has created a national data management practice, joining forces with international vendor DataFlux, a leading provider of data management solutions. The companies will work together to pursue opportunities in one of the fastest growing sectors in the market.
Brisbane-based Integral Technology Solutions is a top-tier corporate IT solutions provider and has contracts with companies in a wide array of sectors, including banking and finance, telecommunications, and state and local government. Its new data management practice will be headed by company veteran John Lowe, and will sit alongside the company’s three existing corporate divisions: program and project delivery, middleware and integration, and the support practice. The practice will initially consist of six senior IT professionals, who are primarily focused on large-scale IT change projects.
Integral Technology Solutions Managing Director Cameron Tuesley said the company has chosen to partner with DataFlux because of its “advanced technology and its unique approach to data management.” He continued: “DataFlux has world-class software that can solve a variety of data challenges and a set of time-tested methodologies that will help our clients transform their data into a corporate asset. Our data practice unit is already our fastest-growing division, and we expect that to continue as enterprises recognise the value of the information that they have and the need to make sure that their corporate data is accurate.”
Tuesley added that corporations have spent millions on improving their IT systems in recent years and now “they have the opportunity to do something really useful with all that retained data”. He concluded: “We believe the data management space will experience tremendous growth in the next few years as companies seek to cleanse, validate, control, integrate and gain faster access to the information they have, in order to use trusted data to make quick business decisions.”
“Integral Technology Solutions is respected in the Australian corporate technology market for driving significant improvements through the skilled execution of new technology systems,” said Saul Cunningham, managing director of DataFlux Australia and New Zealand. “We believe that corporate Australia will increasingly adopt the benefits of having accurate supplier, customer and product data, and DataFlux has advanced and easy-to-use software to enable this key business goal.”
Integral Technology Solutions said it planned to expand its data practice in the next few years, and said that the emergence of the data quality market in Australia would fuel that growth.
“At Integral we truly believe in the phrase ‘Information as an asset’. Data quality is a fundamental aspect of realising the true potential of any organisation’s information, and we at Integral see the DataFlux offering as the best data quality solution on the market today for helping to achieve this,’’ said Lowe.
DataFlux’s new technology product, the DataFlux Data Management Platform, unifies data quality, data integration and master data management (MDM) capabilities within a single platform. By empowering both the business users and IT staff, the new platform expands the reach of data management to more people in any organization.
