One of the nation’s largest not-for-profit health plans, this company has over 50 years of history in serving its clients and now serves nearly nine million members. The Challenge

With an enterprise IT environment containing 4,000 applications over eight distinct business regions, each generating massive quantities of data, the company’s overall data store is one of the largest in the world. Managing and ensuring the quality of this data was a high priority for the company.

Like any business, the company ultimately needed clear data that uniquely and consistently represented each business transaction that occurred at the company. The company’s goals were to enforce custom data quality rules and to measure the quality of data over time.
